Remote Frequency Change

Given the great difficulty in getting 315MHz remotes for Volvos coming from Japan, is it possible to use Orbit to change the remote Frequency?
The 433MHz remotes are easily available and affordable.
Any insights shall be appreciated.

It's possible, the option exists. But you'd need to validate whether it actually applies in practice and what the behavior would be when making this change (would the current key no longer be recognized?).

I think this is a case of "it needs to be tried"

on paper it sounds simple, but might involve reprogramming all keys (need higher-PIN) and not 100% sure the hardware is compatible with both frequencies. Are the radio part numbers the same for both markets?
