Post-Orbit - Car Connectivity (Avoiding the wrath of Sweden)

Hey all!

I just wanted to start a thread to check my understanding before I get blocked by Sweden by accident.

Am I right in my understanding that I can leave my in car sim enabled and use the connected car features like Spotify etc without the risk of incurring the wrath of our Swedish overlords?

Or should I leave all this stuff disabled? As much as I’d like to start using the native in car apps.

I have a sim card in my car for the modem and it's not blocked. You can alo use the apps, but do not update them.  You can update your maps over 4G, that is no problem.

Thanks! I knew I’d seen something about avoiding updates.
I’ll just roll back to OEM with Orbit before doing any updates just to be safe.

Better safe than sorry.

I searched but are the apps auto updated or manual? I often see a pop up front Gentoo saying there is software update but I think it just says available not auto installed

I have only a few installed and never get updates. When my config was modified, I had "this app could not be updated" for months. When rolling back to OEM I could update them. When looking into vida, I could see all attempts to update the app. They all had status "failed".
