Install VOC?

Has anyone attempted to retrofit Volvo On Call? I'm wondering if there's any Volvo side that would block remote controls given it runs through their servers. 

I bought a used V90 which was registered with the DVLA (UK) as an Inscription Pro, however it is in fact a normal Inscription. Looking around to see how much I can retrofit and not seen anyone attempt or even mention VOC.

I was in an impression, that if it's not with VOC button, it is near impossible, at least according to my dealer.
Would D5T5.com VDD be a better solution, if you want it for heating etc?

I don't think it's possible to retrofit VOC because VOC is in constant communication with VOLVO servers and requires subscription (yearly paid service).  VOLVO would not register a VIN number on a retrofitted ECU.
