Developer mode for vehicles with Google built-in

Can OrBit enable this functionality? Would love to take a peek what hidden features are stored in the developer section of the infotainment system. On Android phones this mode is available but hidden and it's called Developer options.

Believe it's restricted at an OS level. I tried in my hire car a while back and was met with a disabled message when trying the usually multi tap on build version. 

If you are an Android Dev then there are a few images floating about which could likely be pulled apart to check for workarounds / exploits
