Tailgate switch

Hello everyone,

is it possible to activate the switch even if you don't have keyless entry? It annoys me because I only have the left button and that I have to lock the car with the remote control after closing it.

I have this button equipped from the factory and it only works if the key is nearby. If the key is out of range, the button doesn't do anything.

You have Keyless entry? My car got not keyless.

I think that answered the question....not able to close with lock on the trunk, unless you have keyless system, it authenticates the key when you push that button, to allow the lock when you close the trunk.

You can install the antennas and enable the keyless system, though it's some wiring work, at least one here has done it! Might be more than you want to get into though ;-)

Me interesa el tema de agregar antenas.¡Gracias!Creo que eso respondió a la pregunta... no se puede cerrar con candado en el maletero, a menos que tenga un sistema sin llave, que autentica la llave cuando presiona ese botón, para permitir el bloqueo cuando cierra el maletero.

Puedes instalar las antenas y habilitar el sistema sin llave, aunque es algo de trabajo de cableado, ¡al menos uno aquí lo ha hecho! Aunque puede que sea más de lo que quieres profundizar ;-)
