It doesn't seem like it's possible, but for someone with Slam Locking enabled, can they try to see if Slam Lock works while the car is running?
I often like to leave the car idling if I'm running for a quick errand, or if I have my dog in the car, etc. One of my gripes... Have to shut off the car, then remote start it if I want it running with the doors locked.

Slam locking should work while the car is working.
also another trick to lock the car while it's running by following the next steps:
- Car is on, key in car, roll down drivers window
- Get out of car, leave key fob on drivers seat, close door
- Reach through open window and hit lock button, doors lock
- Reach through open window and grab key fob and pull window close toggle all the way up to initiate auto close
- Remove arm with key fob in hand from window before it finishes closing. (Remember to grab the key fob, one time I forgot it, I had to take an Uber back home to get my spare key lol)
To unlock it approach the car with fob, it is still running and on and hold the door handles.
Note fob's buttons won't work which is normal behavior.

Interesting, haven't tried that--but its definitely a process. I wish they would just let you lock the car while running... lol.

I tested...slam locking enabled, you cannot lock the car with the interior door switch while it's running, with the door open.

Apologize, Power6 is correct slam locking won't lock the car while it's running, I had the wrong Idea about it when I saw this TJ
(link)
I just noticed the car wasn't running.
But my work around should work for you as I do that a lot of times

Just a thought....
On my Audi S5, I enabled a similar function which allowed you to use the key fob lock button whilst outside the car (with engine running) to lock the car.
Anyone tried this with Slam Locking enabled?

I can check. I never carry the regular key, only the sport key, but I can test it!

Thank you for this. I was wondering what is the "slam door" setting.
