Here is a quick guide for the audible locking retrofit on an LHD car if yours is already pre-wired and has fuse 37 in place. I attached some pictures to show how much I disassembled. I didn't take off the whole wiper blade cover, so the spot is pretty tight. The hardest part of this whole job is that Volvo didn't bother to thread a hole for an M6 bolt for something that's pre-wired, duh.
To make room, I took the small coolant pipe off first so I wouldn't break it. Then I unbolted the expansion tank and pulled it upwards and to the side. I also unclipped a few clips for the climate vent so I could pull the reservoir up a bit higher. Since threading that bolt hole is the toughest part, here is a tip: if you have a 5.5 socket lying around, or a wrench that you can tap the threader into, use that with an extension. It makes it way easier. I tried a smaller threader first and quickly realized it would take forever.
Fitting the siren itself is actually quite easy. Just make sure you slide that small notch into the hole. You need to press the siren backward for it to slide in properly. I didn't take pictures of the reassembly since everything is straightforward, but be really careful with the little plastic clips on the side. Make sure to push the center pins only 1 or 2mm. Don't push them too far or they will fall down into the abyss and you can say goodbye to them (ask me how I know).
Huge thanks to Jos for his thread with the OEM disassembly instructions. Honestly, even if you go the OEM route, you wouldn't get much more space because the expansion tank's lower hose won't let you pull it up much further than I did anyway.
