Curve Speed Assist in AAOS models (USA) - beeping?
#1
I enabled curve speed assist and I haven't noticed it being active....but on my trip today the car randomly started beeping at me when I was on the highway using pilot assist.

Does it work on the AAOS models in the USA at all?

Does enabling curve assist automatically enable some speed limit warning beep or something along those lines?

I'm likely going to just disable it because it doesn't seem to do anything in this country with an AAOS vehicle, but any ideas on the random beeps would be appreciated!

I have a Polestar 2 and I have enabled Curve Speed Assist in my car. Works perfectly well, so long as I have Adaptive Cruise Control enabled.

Does anything show up on the display to tell you it's active/working?

Do you get the same beep I am talking about?

What country are you in?

I have a v60 my2021. I saw this working just twice now. It was activated when acc was on set to approx 120km/h and I went to lane to leave motorway. A massage showed up between revs and speed circles. Couldn't read what it says as I had to break as going too fast. I have it on but honestly it is useless.

Curve speed assist is quite handy in narrow country side roads with lot of curves. It really helps when you drive 80km/h for sharp curve. It is useless in highways though. I have a sensus car so I don't know about AAOS but in sensus car enabling this setting also enables curve speed assist on/off button in menu.

Head to the smaller roads for test the function. You can turn it off(if possible in AAOS) when you don't need to prevent it from doing strange things in highway ramps for example. Beeping might be curve assistant warning? Warning doesn't work on sensus but might work on AAOS

Yes, I get an indicator in my driver screen. I'm in the US and no, I do not get any beeps. Details here:

This is accurate. For the most parts, highways in the NE are straight. But we have plenty of parkways and state roads that are narrow and winding, with significant and sudden elevation changes. Adaptive Cruise Control with Curve Speed Assist is a blessing in these conditions.

Yea I don't have any options mentioning curve assist in the settings and I haven't seen that icon.

I'll keep poking around when I have more time but I might just disable it and be happy with my headlight improvements!

I have a 2024 V6 recharge polestar curve speed assist is activated and works great! It seems like it kicks in only when you are actually pushing a speed limit. That means it only activates when necessary and pretty rarely unless you were driving aggressively.
