Activate DAB on Sensus V60 2019?

Hello,

is it possible to activate DAB on a V60 MY 2019? A Volvo shop told me I need a different IHU, anything else? Is it possible to activate it using Orbit?

It largely depends on the IHU hardware. If it's compatible, you can activate it via Orbit; if not, it won't work.

Thanks, but how can I find out if the IHU supports it? Does it need some extra cabling? Any hardware changes like a different antenna? Or is everything built in and only a software unlock has to be done? If it is only a software unlock, then Volvo is really unsupportive by not allowing to retrofit DAB officially which I would have no problem to pay some reasonable amount of money.

Volvo put IHU with DAB, and without. If your car doesn't have DAB, it means that your car IHU doesn't has DAB

And probably no DAB antenna either. So even if you manage to get it working with the right IHU, the antenna reception is bad.

I did successfully retrofit dab on a 2014 V70 with sensus.
You need to buy and install the dab module in the trunk. You can take the most bus under the front seat and extend it to the new module. I also installed a kensington antenna because the original one is not for dab.
My volvo dealer installed the oem software for the module. The software might be enabled with orbit but my dealer did it using vida for about 100$. This was the best deal for me.
I found the offitial retrofit instructions from volvo because you can have the installation done by volvo as an oem package . The parts needed you find in the forums. Good luck
