Polestar 2 without Plus Pack, can the Pixel lights be activated?
#1
Does a Polestar 2 without Plus Pack have Pixel headlights  or do they have different hardware? I know you can activate the Pixel technology but can it be done with the standard LED headlights? Asking for a MY23 standard Polestar 2 without Pilot or Plus pack.

I am going to guess, the hardware is not the same. Probably LED headlights though? Maybe someone can chime in with their headlights type config for a Polestar without the Pixel lights, I don't know what those have, all the Polestar people get OrBit to enable the Adaptive function on the Pixel lights.

Do you have adaptive beam? You probably do even with LED type lights, if you are outside the US/Canada, but if you are in those markets, you can enable the adaptive beam that is disabled due to regulations.

I have the plus package and the Pixels. I have never seen a non Pixel car.
However based on their behavior and construction I would place a 99% guess that the hardware is different.

There was even a time where plus pack were not getting them because of chip shortage so the hardware is for sure different.

The Pixels have their name on it.

I am in the same situation as the OP here. Just purchased a Canada-spec 2023 Polestar 2, which is not equipped with the Pilot pack nor the Plus pack from the factory.

I've checked my headlamps and they do say "Pixel Technology" just like the picture above, but I cannot seem to find the correct config to enable it. I used the config wizard and enabled at the same time ACC, PA and Pixel lights, but the Pixel lights don't work, just regular automatic high/low beam.

By the way, the config wizard failed to activate either feature, I had to switch mode for ACC to work so I'm thinking perhaps the config for the lights is also now the right one.

Does anyone know what the exact config is to enable the adaptive beam with the Pixel headlamps ?
