Which IHU versions went to SSD? How much faster is the SSD versions? I assume my IHU is original for 2016 XC90.

My replacement IHU came with SSD from a 2021 s60. I did not noticed any difference in the performance. 
The only upside, I got the Jazz Club.

For those who had to replace their IHU with a used one. 
In general IHU is interchangeable between different models but always check if the replacement IHU part number is listed for your car.  The replacement IHU part number should be at least the supersession part number of the current part number that fits your car. 

After you replace the IHU, you won't be able to download or update applications and maps due to mismatch. 
In order to fix that you will need to connect the car to VIDA. 
It will detect two HW changes. 
1) Market change certificate 
2) IHU reload. 
You do not need to install "IHU reload". 
You will need to order and install "Market change certificate" for $90 USD.  (make sure the battery is charged) alternatively, it is possible to install while the engine is running. 
Once it's installed, you can refresh the Hardware changes TAB and IHU reload will disappear. and you will be able download and update software.

I was about to update. 
It costs $90 USD for the software. Plus you have the 3 days VIDA subscription $90 USD. 
It updates CEM, VCM and IHU.  It just a certification file ties all three and VOLVO db. 

Everything works fine after that but I have an issue with the RTP (Traffic Provider).  I just noticed that after installing the certificate, IHU lost its provider thus I no longer see Green, Yellow or RED lines in the NAV. 

I do not know what exactly caused. Maybe something went wrong with my installation or not.
