025 Seat Heat Calibration
#11

Anyone with leather seats from factory knows the correct setting for an XC40?

The loaded 2024 XC40 B5 loaner with leather we had recently was set to 03 Heat calibration 3, though it also felt very poor. The P3Tool for older P3 Volvos had a dropdown box which for each of these variables listed the corresponding temperatures for low and high modes, for the most part they increased with each number, however the last 1 was odd and lower, not hottest. So assuming that's the case with this tool, we went with 08 Heat calibration 8 on our XC60 & XC90 for now after trying 9 earlier without great results. Hopefully that helps a bit, let us know what you notice if you try other settings.

Edit: Added photo of those aforementioned settings

Perfect. Will try tweaking it a bit.
No problems for you running at 8th setting? Don’t want to overheat Smile

I’m hoping to figure out the hottest setting LOL. My 2008 Jeep Commander still gets much hotter than all the settings I’ve tried so far. I’m sure it’s probably Volvo looking out for our safety again.

Changed from 02 to 05 today with not much of a noticeable difference.
Is the XC40 seat heating just really poor?
Will try a higher setting soon.

According to the temperatures above it won’t even be 37 degrees Celsius at standard setting. A my BMWs seat is about 47 by default.
I guess that explains why it doesn’t feel hot ?
