Key Programming on T8 XC90

FYI for you folks with T8s - there's a known issue with key programming where the SRS system causes radio interference that makes it impossible to program new keys. I banged my head against the wall for quite some time being unable to program keys until some kind soul on Swedespeed pointed me in the direction of the following TJ:

Once the fuses in question were removed, the keys programmed easily. I hope this helps someone struggling with this like I did.

I have a 2019 XC60 T8 and didn't have any issues programming new keys. Cracked open a sport key, replaced the battery, taped it back shut and then put the key in the cup holder and programmed. Maybe i was just lucky?

Sounds like you were luckier than me! I wasted many hours trying to get my keys to program to no avail. Glad it worked out well for you!
