Retrofit Center Console Rear Air VentXC40 MONOZONE
#1
Hi,
It is possible to install ventilation for the rear passengers, Center Console Rear Air Vent? I have monozone clima on volvo XC40 D3 momentum 2019.
I have this variant on Orbit 175: HVAC VARIANTS - 03 HVAC small, zone 1. Should I select 175: HVAC VARIANTS - 04 HVAC small, zone 2 OR 05 HVAC small, zone 3?
Should any other settings be changed in Orbit? As for hardware, I guess the HVAC pipe and the ventilation grid are needed?
356 SECOND ROW SIDE VENT - 01 Without second row side vent this must be switch to 02 With second row side vent or 03 booster fan?
thanks

I am sorry to break it to you but it's not that simple. There is a huge difference between 1 2 and 4 zones.
First off all the AC unit behind the dash is different.  You'd need to pull out the dash board and replace the unit. I don't know if XC40 offers 4 zone at all.
Look for something like this for car.

This is what the XC40 rear ventilation looks like. It doesn't seem to have anything electrical. I was thinking that if I selected one of the HVAC small 2zone or HVAC small 3zone options then the HVAC would open the flap and send air to the rear.
If I activate with Orbit one of the 2 options above, would I damage the HVAC or would I get the first errors that clear as soon as I return to the previous setting?[Image: be76ee021348180208f4eba30cb90e81.jpg]

After looking at the picture, it can be done if you are willing to replace the center console or adding the air ducks and vents.  But it has nothing to do with the settings.
1 Zone > Only one temperature control for all sides.
2 Zone > two temperature controls for (Left F&R) and (right F&R)
4 Zone > 4 temp. control. (left Front, Right Front,  Left Rear and Right Rear).

So, you need to get the air duck under the center console and connect it to the front center air duck.
Check out this  You would need 20, 22 and 24.  They connect to 1.  You might need to replace it two.
