Can orbit help me to install latest software version with a fault code

I have an irrelevant fault code (a sensor) that I don't plan to fix at the moment. During my 25k maintenance polestar told me that they couldn't update it due to the fault code.. my understanding is they Orbit would allow me to erase codes but it will keep popping up eventually correct ?  Is there a way to install the software 3.1.10 right away  after erasing the code?
