From July 2024 all cars in the EU have to ISA enabled
(source)
It is basically the same situation like start/stop in the past. As of now, after every car start, this is activated and it can be deactivated with steering wheel paddle once for a whole trip. When engine is turned off and on, this resets.
is there a way to disable this permanently? Which config option is that?

there is 251 INTELLIGENT SPEED ASSIST configuration. options are with or without.
So, I guess it might be possible to disable it completely which means no turning on / off at all.

Hi,
on my 2022 B4 Google Car, ISA can be enabled and shows in the display but it does not work. I guess it might be enable in some future OTA. Do other have same experience?

I believe ISA is only supported from late 2024-up and it is only required for new cars, so I don't expect a 2022 is going to support it now or in the future, though it's speculation I could be wrong.
Several folks have disabled it on the late 2024s with it using OrBit, and report good results so far.
