Retrofit heated steering wheel problem. Help!

Hello. My car is Volvo s60 2024. I decided to install heated steering wheel. I bought suitable steering wheel and used module swm from a car Volvo xc 60. I took off my original module swm, I removed the switches that turn on the lights and glass cleaner and installed it in the module swm from the car xc60. Since the module’s xc 60 switch that activates the windshield wipers had an additional function of activating the rear windshield wipers. I installed this details on my car and changed the configuration, But the steering wheel heating didn't work. The menu now includes the option to turn on the heated steering wheel, but the steering wheel remains functional.

I performed a diagnosis and found the following errors:
CEM-B154Е29 SWM Wiper Stalk — General Signal Failures — Signal signal invalid
CEM-B154F96 SWM Mainboard — Component Failures Component interal failure
CEM-B15051С Heating Steering Wheel — General Electrical Failures — Circuit voltage out of range
1) the first error I think was when I replaced the glass cleaner’s switch.
2) the second error is unknown, maybe someone can decrypt it.
3) the third error indicates that the heating is not working.

Initially, I thought that the car had wiring for heating the steering wheel, but as I understand it from this Forum, this wiring is missing.

I will attach a photo of my swm connector, and as I understand it, I need to add wiring to the 1(+) and 7 (-) connectors. Please correct me if my  information is wrong (if I understood incorrectly the information)


The car is functioning properly, and all additional systems are also working (parktronic, cruise control, etc.) Do I need to buy a new swm module from a similar car (s60)? Or can I leave this module (xc60) for further use?

I also found information that Volvo has removed the official option to download the software for installing the swm module with heating. I was planning to officially download the software using Vida, so that in the future, when I connect my car to Vida Diagnostics, it would not indicate that I have an unoriginal swm module installed, and I could receive updates to the android system. (After installing the factory configuration)
Is this still possible? Or will I have to install my original swm module every time I diagnose my car at the dealer (Vida)?

First things first.  You must make sure that the part number of the XC60 SWM does fit to your VIN. Otherwise, you will always have problems with the XC60 SWM when connecting the VIDA. 

VIDA will detect the HW change and will force to reload SWM before allowing to perform total upgrade.  But here is the problem, if the HW diagnostic and part number of the XC60 SWM is not listed as compatible with your VIN in the VOLVO database, VIDA will not install the software after you purchased and retrieved, giving you error. "this software cannot be installed, mismatch hardware" something like that.  VIDA will not check and warn you. It's your responsibility to install the correct part number. 

According to this, you should be able to get it from Vida. But you will need the correct SWM.

Since you have a S60, why did you buy a part for a XC60? It will never work without faults. XC60 has a rear wiper, S60 does not have it. The wiring in the SWM is different. Quickest way is to call a Volvo dealer and ask for the part number, or find a 2024 S60 with a heated steering wheel,note the VIN and call your dealer with that VIN.

Without what? replacing the SWM? 
As far as I know, the SWM of a car without the heated steering wheel, is missing the internal wires for the heating element.  
It might be possible to add those two wires inside the existing SWM and just purchase the heated steering wheel from VIDA.

The module swm needs to be replaced necessarily because they differ in the presence of power connection for steering wheel heating.

Earlier Volvo bought heated steering wheel as an accessory and it was possible to buy it as option. But it’s impossible to buy this option for my car (2024) now. The wiring is not installed in the car by default (and I should it make by myself). That’s I have a question now, Will I be able to officially install the steering wheel heating software later? And where can I take the numbers of modules swm which will fit to my car if the module of xc60  cannot be officially reprogrammed?

The dealer said that there is no official installation here that’s why I can’t give you the required number.

I think this still works for Sensus cars. When you retrofit the SWM and Heated steering wheel, there is software available in Vida. iCup cars are not supported anymore.

If it's not possible to do this officially, and I need to install my original module back every time I perform a computer diagnosis, then it doesn't matter which car the module comes from or what its number is.

No.It does! 
You need to understand enabling a functionality "Heated steering wheel" is different than replacing an SWM module officially "reloading SWM software and they are purchased and installed separately.  
There are two different variants for each model.  (w or WO heated steering wheel.)   The SWM for XC and V series are different than the S series. 
VIDA will not reload an XC or V series SWM on an S series.  
So, first you must have the correct SWM from the correct  model that has the heated steering wheel connection inside. Install it on the car than do SWM software reload from VIDA.  
After that, you should pull positive wire from to fuse box, to the SWM connector, replace the steering wheel with the heated one.  
Then, you can use orbit to enable the heated steering wheel if VIDA does not offer it under the "functional changes" tab for your VIN. 

Once you do all that, you are good. VIDA will never force you do SWM reload. However, you will need to revert any Orbit config changes back to OEM before connecting the car to VIDA.  Because VIDA checks if the config is altered or not. If it is, VOLVO blocks the car for any software download.
