Will it work with Sensus?

Turning off the cross traffic warning in Sensus does not disable the cross traffic collision prevention. And there are tons of opportunites for false alerts in my normal driving, and it's annoying when it SLAMS the brakes ha. So now I've been conditioned to avoid the false alerts...let every pedestrian and car near me clear before backing out.

The 152 I have BLIS with CTA there is no setting there.

On 153 I am currently trying "04...with warning" from "...03 warning and mitigation" but I don't think this is it...we don't know the "internal" names of these systems that Volvo uses, but I believe this is the feature that, when a car comes up fast behind you, and Volvo thinks it may hit you, it warns and engages the brakes (depending on setting). I've had that activate once.

So I am not sure there is any setting at all that disables just the rear CTA collision prevention but not the warning.

My 323 setting is original, 01 Without, so don't know what that is...
For me this is very useful. I really like it. Got me out of trouble too
But, only once, stopped me for a pedestrian too. Maybe tought it was a car, idk, but it did brake. I was just explaining to my brother how the system works (didn't fully understood) so It happend to be showing him too. He was quite impressed and wants a Volvo too Smile) on swedespeed there is a thread where they ask the same question, to disable the braking with no luck (old-ish thread) but they had some issue that got fixed by a software update

Also, I am looking to enable the "mirror dip" function cause I don't have memory seats and the only thing I can find is 463 - Memory in rear view mirrors, have this disabled. Can someone let me know if yours is activated if you have Dip Mirror function?

Aand, speaking of safety, did anyone tried 478 - Door opening warning. Might this be the BLIS blinking at standstill if you want to open the door? Or any info in the drivers display?

Curious to hear as well from the ones that have auto dip on mirror when going backward !
I don't have the function and would like to activate if possible.

Do all volvo cars stop if a pedestrian crosses in front ?

I meant Rear with CTA not front. Didn't get a chance to see if it stops in the front but I don't think so unless its the front collision stuff

For mirror dip, I think the menu item is just there, or if you have memory settings/buttons it is there maybe. Probably all the mirrors have memory capability, I am guessing. Mirror dip requires the memory capability.

It helps to know how it operates, in my 2019 S60 Sensus, I have memory buttons on the door. In the Sensus menu, I don't recall off the top of my head, whatever menu has mirrors settings, where you would enable fold with lock for example. There is a "tilt down in reverse setting" and you can choose: Left, Righ, both

What I like about the Volvo system, is you don't have to have this "turned on" to use it. I leave the tilt down in reverse feature off. You can use it "as needed" too: When you are in reverse, "double click" the left or right mirror button on th door, the one you use to set which mirror to adjust. That will tilt the mirror on that side down briefly for you.

I think setting "463" is unrelated, sometthing we don't understand what it means. My car is set to "Without memory in mirrors". To guess what it is, just a guess! I think what it means, is if the car is equipped where the mirrors contain the logic for "memory". If you know how "memory" works in seats and mirrors, there must be position sensors for electronics to know where the mirror is to store the position, then to find that position when the memory is "recalled". That logic is inside the door module in our Volvos, not inside th mirrors, position sensors are just fed from the mirror to the PDM/DDM. That's just me trying to work out what that means as I am curious, could be something else...

Normaly the function works only if memory seats are installed. That would mean that the buttons for seats memory have a unit inside that keeps the memory for mirrors too. I believe if you set diferent position of seat and mirror they will both move when its changed, right?
So without that, might not work. I really want to activate memory seats to see if the setting appears. And also to see if it gives any faults
On Audi you don't need memory seats. Weird

Understood. Then I probably don't have it.
Another thing, has anyone investigated this:
 153: COLLISION MITIG

I am seeing on the official webpage of XC60 2022 that there are read radar units but not on 2021 and before... https://www.volvocars.com/uk/support/man...adar-units

I did not see in Orbit a field for rear radar however.

So CTA works for pedestrian as well as ciclist. So my car didn't act out, it was a feature
