Consequences of visiting the dealer without Restore OEM — software-only config change
#2
If only the software has been changed without any HW parts then you are more on the safe side of things. My experience is with Germany, Austria and Bulgaria dealers. And intentionally i had left the changes done with orbit and vdash before going for maintenance such as engine oil, filters and etc. And the car was been throught Vida Total update during this visits without any problems what so ever. Yet that story will change upon new hardware which is not supposed to be there from factory perspective. Like new audio amp, seats and etc. If you car is banned then there is a service route to restore back to original and be inspected by volvo shop to verify it and payWink You will not be able to upgrade the car via dealer visits.

Hope i have been in any help to your question.
