Is there an option or config I can change in Orbit that will command the car to remain in 'manual' shift mode without it automatically reverting back to a few seconds after shifting?

Makes the paddle shift retrofit an absolute waste of time, money and effort quite frankly otherwise.

Thanks ?

I also retrofitted the shift paddles to my 2019 S60 T5.
If you manually shift by using the paddles while the shifter is in D, it will go back to regular automatic after 3 to 5 seconds if the car does not continue to accelerate.  That is by design.
Even if the gear selector is in "M" manual mode;
1) The car will downshift to 1 If the car comes to full stop.
2) The car will   downshift to 2 if the speed reduces below 10 mph / 16 kmph
3) The car will upshift if the RPM goes above 5500 RPM

Thanks for your reply IMAY2023

I understand it may well be by design but I was hoping the car remains in 'M' (manual) mode until such time I revert back to 'D' myself otherwise what's th e point? Really really bad design that offers zero purpose to the driver. ??

This makes Shift Paddles 100% useless in that case ? what an absolute waste of money and time I now understand why Volvo removed them.

Anyway thanks again I appreciate it.
