I think you are off a bit, I will clarify some things. As always I could be wrong on it, it's Volvos VIDA system we don't make it, just learn about, if you disagree let me know, but we DO have a lot of experience through use and helping customers with the car compatibility to VIDA.
It's not the same situation as the B&W AUD. There is more nuance to it. The HCMs are a situation where the "bendy" and "non-bendy" part are compatible with the car as far as VIDA is concerned. The "non-bendy" HCM (MID) is nearly the same part as the "bendy" HCM (HIGH), just missing a few components for cheaper assembly at the factory. Volvo does not offer a "MID" as a replacement part, they only sell the "HIGH" module for all cars. In your case, VIDA will see the part as compatible with the car, so it will reload it. Both MID and HIGH HCMs use the same software and the HIGH module works without issue in all the cars, with or without bending.
This is another case, the 2019-up IHU parts are likely all seen as compatible for the car, use the same software, so VIDA will reload the module.
The AUD is a different case. The B&W AUD is not a compatible part for the H/K car. It is a different hardware, that uses different software. VIDA will consider the part not compatible, it doesn't matter about 90 or 60 series AUD in your case. So you can't load it, VIDA will not let you order a reload for it. The reason is that VIDA goes by the variant codes of the car, if the car is built as H/K (K504 High Perf Pro audio) then VIDA will consider the B&W AUD not compatible HW. If the car is built as B&W (K503 Premium Audio) then VIDA would consider the AUD compatible.
But you can't change the variant codes in Volvo's system. There was a time (before Jun 2022) where you could do that, but it's long since gone, if you change the variant codes in the car, Volvo will block the car. Prior to that time, I was able to update my car into VIDA and reload the B&W AUD on my 2019 S60 (originally H/K). Then in June of 2022, Volvo blocked my car due to "VDN manipulation" ;-)
That is what X119 refers to as far as blocking. Volvo (so far) never blocks cars for module swaps, but you may not be able to reload those modules and get the car to the point that Total Upgrade or Service 2.0 is possible, based on the compatibility of what modules you have swapped.
Annoyingly this case also applies to the Crystal knob shifter (EGSM) which I have swapped in my car. Because the car is not built with it, does not have the variant for Crystal knob, VIDA will not reload it or generate the Total Upgrade, despite the 2 EGSM parts being nearly the same module, use exact same software and all, but the part number differs with the Crystal knob and VIDA won't have it.
That is not correct! Cars do not get blocked by OrBit config, and they never have. Because we don't change the variants/VDNs in the car, so there is no change for Volvo to find there. It's always recommended to Restore to OEM, to be safe and avoid strange happenings. But Volvo has not ever blocked any car for config changes via OrBit, and they may never do it, due to the difficulty of it, it's complicated if they wanted to do it, but that's a story for another day.

I installed market certificate change software via VIDA for $90. IHU reload was $180. After installing the market change certificate, the IHU reload under HW changes was cleared automatically and I can now update my maps and install apps from Sensus. If my car had been blocked by VOLVO like you said, I wouldn't be able to do any of those.
