V60II 2018-2019

Hi everyone,
Thnx for Admin for Help,

I’m working on adding an aftermarket active subwoofer (Phoenix Gold) to my V60 (SPA) with High Performance Audio. I have already used OrBit to enable the Subwoofer function, and the slider is now visible in Sensus.

However, I’ve discovered that my AUD module (2019-2020 model) physically lacks the dedicated subwoofer output pins (Pins 7 & 15 are "dead" / no internal amp for sub).

Since I cannot use the dedicated sub output, I have a few questions regarding the best setup for maximum bass quality:

Tap-in point: Which speakers provide the best frequency range for a subwoofer? Should I tap into the Front Woofers or the Rear Doors?

Signal Summing: I am currently tapped into only one rear speaker and the bass feels weak. Is it mandatory to sum both Left and Right channels to get the full signal voltage for the sub’s amp?

High-Low Converter vs. High-Level Input: I have a Helix AAC.3 converter. Is it better to use the Helix (to "trick" the AUD’s impedance detection) or should I go straight into the Subwoofer’s High-Level input?

OrBit Configuration: Since I am tapping into the door speakers, should I change the Audio Config to "Harman Kardon" in OrBit to improve the EQ curve for lower frequencies, or will that mess up the output for my factory HP speakers?

I’m looking for the "cleanest" way to get a strong, consistent bass without the DSP clipping or reducing power.

Thanks for your help!

Mati
