Subwoofer: It can be enabled. You have to consider whether you have the components present. At some time, Volvo removed the subwoofer channel from the HP (High Performance Audio) amplifier (AUD module) installed in the car. It was around the 2019-2020 model years. So you may not find, you can add a subwoofer as the amp won't have any output to be enabled. I think this car does have a subwoofer already? I am not sure of it though.
Audio settings: You can change the audio system config of the car without changing any components. In my experience, this will make some improvement in the sound. You will get the settings and menus for the configured audio system in the Sensus. There is also a risk some effects of the mismatched equipment and configuration, I think the HP audio to H/K (Harman Kardon) configuration will work fine, I can't guarantee it.
I would recommend in this case: Consider getting a used H/K amplifier AUD module. You can swap it and take advantage of the improved sound and amplification, this AUD definitely supports the subwoofer to add it, or my opinion it works pretty well with the H/K system (I had a 2019 with factory H/K) and the HP and H/K audio actually use the same subwoofer part. You can set the config with OrBit to match the H/K system. I believe the system wiring and amp configuration of channels is the same between the HP and H/K in the car. You can try it with the existing speakers, or source the H/K speakers and swap them in as you like.
Remote start: I don't think it can be enabled, enabling in the car may allow it, but the Volvo online system enforces what functions are shown in the app for the car.
Polestar: It is not possible to install the full "Polestar Optimization" outside of Volvo, only they can flash the engine tune to the car. On your car, you can enable the config item for Polestar Optimization and it does make some changes: Add the Polestar Engineered drive mode, and enable the "Polestar" transmission tuning. Many people enjoy it.
