I have a 2020 Volvo V60 (without keyless entry, power tailgate, and without the auto-dimming interior rearview mirror). I’d like to retrofit all of these features.
Keyless Entry:
I’ve seen the retrofit thread for this, but I’m not sure if the power tailgate is required to make it work fully. Do I need to retrofit the tailgate first, or can keyless entry be done on its own?
As far as I know, I’ll need:
Door handles with the keyless sensors
Antennas and wiring harness
Possibly a new KVM (Keyless Vehicle Module) or software activation
Power Tailgate:
My car has a manual tailgate. I’d like to retrofit the power tailgate as well. From what I’ve gathered, the retrofit needs:
Power struts
Tailgate module
Button and wiring
Software download
Auto-Dimming Interior Mirror:
I don’t have the auto-dimming interior rearview mirror (just the basic manual one). I’d like to install it. Do I just need the mirror itself and wiring, or is a software update also needed?
If anyone has done these retrofits on SPA cars (V60/S60/XC60, etc.), could you confirm the parts list and whether software is always needed? Also, is there any dependency between retrofitting keyless entry and the power tailgate?
