Thanks a lot.. Got this info earlier this week privately already.. Can't believe how lazy the dealer is..
I immediately called my contact to check on the price for the SW load and then he also confessed that my US car is the first SPA one they deal with so they don't have any previous knowledge... Agree.. a TIA search shouldn't be that hard.
Their initial answer was that the whole unit needs to be replaced for a total of 1000€++
Now the only remaining part for a full "market conversion" would be the VCM module and getting VoC back in action, but here I've learned you can't buy a used one (seems tied to the VIN more strongly.. without option for a wipe in VIDA..) so guess I have to live with it. Could always get the VDD dongle if needed later, unless Orbit has some similar plans for a cellular OBD dongle
