Service Procedure: Active Noise Control - Disable in IHU
#2
Is this a SENSUS or AOSS vehicle?

To answer your question: On the various subreddits, we've been seeing a lot of people with this bug who aren't Orbit users, so I'm guessing it isn't related. But I'm curious about the noise cancellation settings. Here's why: Pretty sure “active noise control” is the EOE/EOR, not the automatic volume. But maybe they’re linked?

Our vehicle is a 2024 XC60, with AOSS, currently running 3.3.16. Ever since we went to 3.x (from 2.14.4) my tinnitus goes nuts when in the vehicle. I have been assuming this is the noise cancelling, but now I'm not so sure. I grabbed Orbit (needed it anyway to do a couple other things, and because I like to be able to do all the stuff on my cars) and ran the configuration change to turn both EOR and EOE off under "noise cancellation". This is the configuration item:

358  ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL > 01 Without Active Noise Control

However, the procedure in the ECU tools (setting to IHU, reading EF75, and sending the code to disable) didn't work for me on my vehicle (Andrew had said it may only work on SENSUS vehicles). But now there is apparently this "additional service procedures" option you've posted, so I'm going to give that a try, I think. But wonder if it'll even run? That's why I'm curious what happened when you ran this procedure?
