Coded yesterday, reverted to OEM, and got the polestar tune today

Absolutely. Believe me, I've done some flapping in my time!

Another one is to make sure you unplug the OBD port, if you leave that in whilst starting the car for the first time after flashing it goes a little wild. I once spent a couple of hours trying to get my car working again only to turn it off go back out in the morning and everything be absolutely fine!

I didn't even think of that.  Pretty sure I left the OBD connector connected while I was in the middle of my minor mental breakdown.

After some more miles with polestar I really think the transmission logic is the biggest benefit.  If that can be coded in I would definitely recommend just doing that vs a full tune.  The power is extremely marginal and any perception of increased power is likely from the more aggressive throttle tip-in.  The new logic is great though, it seems to have solved the downshift it would do every time at corner exit while driving semi-aggressively.
