If the part number the replacement seat controller from XC90 Inscription is listed as supersession to your original or your original part number is a supersession of the replacement, then VIDA would reload the replaced module and update the VOLVO DB. But this does not mean that it will also enable the additional features. It might with an additional software reload, or it will keep the original features which you can always enable via Orbit.
If the part numbers are not supersessions of each other, VIDA would not reload the replaced controller. In this case, it would be best to disconnect the connector under the seat before connecting the VIDA. Otherwise, you will end up like me. I had to connect the original seat controllers back to the car and reload software before I could do total upgrade.
