FYI on where this is... the Japan market cars have some different navigation software loaded in Sensus. So these ones seem to be unique in that we can't just change config, load maps for other region and go, as can be done on any other market Volvo that I know of, it's only been a problem on Japan market cars.
It's something I am working on, to see if the navigation application can be replaced by loading the "non Japan" navigation application to the IHU in the car. I've had some success with loading different softwares on the IHU to change some things like the audio DSP. Which is probably a little more straightforward than getting the navigation app replaced. But i am continuing to work on it, as it's barrier to region/market change with the car that is normally no problem with cars from other markets.
