I initiated the battery days in service reset and I was planning to change the 030 BATTERY config setting as well. However, I don't see an config setting that exactly match the new battery specs.
The only relevant ones are 'H8 AGM 92Ah 850CCA' and 'H8 AGM Exide 95Ah 850CCA'. The latter option has the 95Ah which matches the Costco battery, but both CCAs don't match with the Costco one. Which option should I select?
Thanks!
If I were you, I would return the battery and get the one exactly matches to the car's original one. For two main reasons.
1) Wrong battery amperage (higher) will overload the alternator and eventually, alternator will fail completely. While the alternator gets weaker and weaker, it will also kill the battery.
2) Even if you find the right config and change it matching the battery, you would need to put it back to OEM settings every time you visit the service or connect VIDA for diagnoses which eventually at some point will mess up the whole system. In addition, let's assume you find the correct battery settings but what about the alternator setting and if your current alternator can support the higher amperage battery!
Keep in mind, most of the modern cars are full of electronics depending on exact voltage and amperage. Any fluctuation can easily mess up any ECU, so be careful.
