CPM Lockout removal

CPM like BeachBoy pointed out is Combusion Preheater Module, which is an Webasto Thermo Top Evo manufactured for Volvo by Webasto (Petrol for T8). Whenever there have been misfires or failed starts for any reason it will go into "lock-out" mode, and after several(6) of these failures it will go into a "Permanent heater lock-out" mode, which stated by a manual from Webasto only can be removed by using "Webasto Thermo Test PC Diagnosis(WTT)".
Now i seriously doubt that Volvo technicians are using WTT every time they do a service on the Webasto unit and need to remove this permanent lock-out.

Workshop manual for this heater can be found here: https://www.butlertechnik.com/downloads/...manual.pdf - But this is not entirely the same for the heater on Volvo, there are different parts and spesific parts made for Volvo here.

Last time i was using orbit i stored these error codes in a txt file through orbit, it seems like it may be a bug there @Power6 as two out of four files are simply empty with 0b of information. Did not notice this before afterwards.

I have WTT available, but its a lot more work to use this as i have to directly access the heater.

OP: Are you getting a code? CPM-B1D3468 would be the code for a lock out and has many google results.

I went down the rabbit hole with that DTC and it's full of other language forum threads. You need to reflash the eeprom of the webasto and it works, since there appears to be a 800h limit (counter)

I will have to do a new read out, i stored the codes but the files where empty when i tried to open them again.

The thread on MHH i think is a slightly different webasto heater(older?), but yes it may relate. Wierd to put a 800h limiter on there  Huh Dodgy
