Ambient 12V.

I want to add an ambient light that is powered by 12V. I looked for it in the door wiring harness with a multimeter, but the lighting is powered by 5V. Could someone tell me where I can find the 12V power supply after the ignition is turned on in the doors and near the steering column?

In the door you have only B+, try to connect to rear lighter socket, is the simplest way. What ambient light you want to connect , aftermarket or OE?

Aftermarket.
This is a big problem because I would have to draw 12V from the cigarette lighter to each door. There is 12V in the window motor, but the current is there even after the car is closed.

It all depends on how would you want to control the aftermarket 12v lights.
The simplest way, get the 12v directly from the fuse box under the glow box. (use fuse TAB.) Check the fuse diagram. Some of them are powered only if engine is running such as "seat heaters, seat comfort"

Only a 12V power supply is needed. Everything else is wirelessly controlled, both On/Off and color changing.

The set consists of 5 elements. One main control unit is powered from the fuse box. The remaining 4 are located in each door and are wirelessly controlled. I don't want to run any wires to the doors.

I have the same set from AliExpress. Very simply to mount. Master Connect to the lighter socket and every slave Connect to module in door with B+. Master will menaging slaves. All set cost about 40$
