Issues with Navigation after enabling
#1
Hi!

Car: Volvo V90, 2017, D3

Seen a couple of threads about issues with navigation after enabling it, with the #223 configuration NAVIGATION AND INTERNET MAP: WITH CONNECTED NAVIGATION, WITH INTERNET MAP, it became available but tells me I am missing the maps, which need to be provided through USB. None of the other threads helped me.

However, no matter what I do, it only says ‘No Media’ on the USB-stick.
I downloaded Scandinavian maps for Sensus.

I’ve tried using exfat, fat32, ntfs on the USB-sticks but nothing works.
I’ve made sure to use the Sensus SPA maps download tool from Volvo.

When I use the tool I save the download directly to the USB choice.
On the USB-device itself there is a DB-file and a .zip file.
I’ve tried having it exactly like the tool has it with zip-file, I’ve unpacked the zip-file and placed all files
directly on the usb-stick but it still doesn’t work.
I’ve tested sticks with USB 2.0 and 3.1.
I’ve tried using usb sticks with MBR and GPT.
I’ve tested both USB-slots in my car, both the one with white circle and without.

But no matter what I do, it says no media when I connect it.

Can somebody which this works normally for, please check what USB-type you have, whether in your stick, it has unpacked files? Or is it expected to have a .zip file? If not, can someone please list the exact contents of the USB-stick? This is making me nuts  Big Grin

For others having the same problem, I’ve solved it with help of you guys.

I had a FAT32 formatted, MBR (not GPT) partition, 128gb, downloaded with the full Sensus Europe maps. Worked right away at that point.

When installing the full Europe maps, the USB-stick had many different files within it, about 40.
When I just picked my region, I only had a DB-file and a zip-file.

I did enable android auto and navigation to my V60 2019.

Android auto works but navigation asks to install maps from usb which i have tried but when i plug in my usb drive with Finland maps, nothing happens.

I did notice that my clock was way off from correct time when automatic gps time is turned on.

I managed to update voice commands so usb drive is working with the car.

Anyone had the same issue?

You have to install base map which is Europe in this case. Download europe map and create installation usb media by following instructions on Volvo's website and it shoud work fine.
