Do I only need to add a positive wire, or both a positive and a negative wire?
As I wrote earlier, my original number is - 32230871. (2024y)
the heated module that would be suitable for me has the following number - 32230872. This module is only sold new and costs 350-400€. I'm not sure if I can officially reprogram it, and I don't want to buy such an expensive module yet.
I found two modules from the Volvo S60 B5 (used).
32350379 - 2023y
32350924 - 2025y
Do you have any advice on which of these modules might be suitable for me?
I'll try to replace my swm module with an S-series module. I'd also like to be able to use Vida online myself

For the SWM, check this out 32350379. According to this it fits years from 2019 to 2024 for all models.
You should be able to find a used one from your model so that it would work without reloading it and once you connect VIDA, it would reload it without problem.
Older part numbers of the same module (31443889, 31674101, 31674211, 32231816, 32266028, 32266054, 32266887).
For the negative wire, not sure actually. Most likely, SWM already has negative from the body and you would not need it.

Yes, I've already explored all the available catalogs. 32350379 - the description says that it was installed in 2024, but if you first select a 2024 car and then look at the catalog, it shows the number 32230872
maybe someone has information about the numbering order of the connectors in the fuse box connector? where is pin number 32, I didn't see any numbering on the connector itself.
Upd.
today I tried to connect the wiring. At first I connected only the positive wire - the heating did not work, then I added the negative wire. when both wires were connected, the heating worked. The module is from the XC60, it is fully functional, but it is probably not possible to officially reprogram it...

I have installed a used module 32230872 ( Volvo S60 2024). But when downloading the software (VIDA). I received an error stating that the SAS module could not be rebooted. As far as I could find out, the SAS module cannot be restarted if it was previously installed on another vehicle. Need to buy a new SWM module

VIDA will not allow to install and reload a used SAS which is inside the SWM module. As a matter of fact, any safety ECU is one time pairing to a VIN.

Hello!
I have a v90 2017 and I want to put a heated steering wheel on it. On the car, I have the SWM module with the series 31443883, the steering wheel heating plug, it has it. I bought a heated steering wheel and activated the steering wheel heating function in OrBit, unfortunately it does not heat up.
Where can I find out if my SWM module is compatible with a heated steering wheel? I measured the steering wheel resistance and it is ok. What else do I need to do to make it work? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Look here at this link.
It has all the modules for the XC60. Change the car model and look at the V90, but I think they're compatible.
Look at the variant codes that match yours.
Note:
Variant code => EQ01 => no heated steering wheel
Variant code => EQ02 => heated steering wheel

I successfully completed the steering wheel swap with paddle shifters and heating.
I swapped the steering wheel module, using the same variant options as mine, but with the heating option.
The module I received wasn't centered. I performed the SAS process and calibration as explained in the forum, and everything went perfectly. I also configured the corresponding parameters using Orbit.
In my case, I already had all the necessary wiring. It's a 2019 XC60 R-Design.
Let me know if I can help anyone else.
Cheers, everyone!

Hi everyone! I have a few questions about which accessories would be suitable for my car. I have a 2018 European version XC40 R-Design with paddle shifters and I want to add a heated steering wheel. I know I need to replace the steering wheel, the steering module, connect the wiring to the fuse box, and install the software, but I'm not sure where to find the compatible part numbers to avoid problems later and ensure they work properly. Could you help me find the right parts?
