Retrofit heated steering wheel problem. Help!
#41
Do I only need to add a positive wire, or both a positive and a negative wire?
As I wrote earlier, my original number is - 32230871.  (2024y)
the heated module that would be suitable for me has the following number - 32230872.  This module is only sold new and costs 350-400€.  I'm not sure if I can officially reprogram it, and I don't want to buy such an expensive module yet.
I found two modules from the Volvo S60 B5  (used).
32350379 - 2023y
32350924 - 2025y
Do you have any advice on which of these modules might be suitable for me?

I'll try to replace my swm module with an S-series module. I'd also like to be able to use Vida online myself  Dodgy Confused Smile

For the SWM, check this out 32350379. According to this it fits years from 2019 to 2024 for all models.
You should be able to find a used one from your model so that it would work without reloading it and once you connect VIDA, it would reload it without problem.
Older part numbers of the same module (31443889, 31674101, 31674211, 32231816, 32266028, 32266054, 32266887).

For the negative wire, not sure actually. Most likely, SWM already has negative from the body and you would not need it.

Yes, I've already explored all the available catalogs. 32350379 -  the description says that it was installed in 2024, but if you first select a 2024 car and then look at the catalog, it shows the number 32230872  Undecided

maybe someone has information about the numbering order of the connectors in the fuse box connector? where is pin number 32, I didn't see any numbering on the connector itself.

Upd.
today I tried to connect the wiring. At first I connected only the positive wire - the heating did not work, then I added the negative wire. when both wires were connected, the heating worked. The module is from the XC60, it is fully functional, but it is probably not possible to officially reprogram it...
