Trunk light

Hello, I installed an interior light in the hatch. The harness was already there, but I can't find the option on the list to activate it. Can someone tell me which option activates it?

Try changing 183-02 ( interior lights to high)

I think all 3 light in the trunk are the same. Maybe try to swap the lights to prove all are OK first.

I swapped them, both work. Unfortunately, neither works in the hatch.

I checked mine yesterday as well. I have only 2 lights in the trunk and wire going into the trunk hatch. I have high light level in the car active and third light doesn't work either. I was thinking to buy a new light but since it doesn't work I think that the wiring is there in the hatch but it is not connected to the other 2 lights.

Hi, have you done more research? The same thing is happening to me, and I'd like to add the third light.

No, I have not. Didn't have time to do any reaserch on this upgrade as it is lowest priority on my to do list.

Hi everyone! Today I successfully installed three lights in the trunk of my Volvo. Originally, it only had one on the right side. I used some 0.5 mm cable and matching light sockets for the project.
Since I couldn't identify the specific pins for the trunk harness(tailgate, te part that opens), I decided to solder the wires directly. I was a bit skeptical about whether it would power all three lights at once, but it works perfectly! Because the wires are all connected, you can tap into them anywhere and run the line to the tailgate connector. No software updates were required. If anyone is interested in doing this, I’m happy to help!
I have included a picture of the connector for the trunk harness( tailgate, the part that opens0)

I've just added 2 extra ones on my Polestar 2 and the wiring was in the tailgate but not in the floor harness of the car. The higher spec models appear to be wired for 2 or 3 as I had a floor loom from another car to do a repair on mine and the wiring for all 3 was present in that. Then I looked at diagram for the XC40 on the Loopbunny website it shows they all share the same output from the CEM and jointed at the front of the car which I confirmed with my spare harness. Its worth mentioning that the brown/green is also used for one of canbus networks on the Polestar and possibly other Volvo's so anyone looking to splice into the loom should verify they have the right wires.
