Orbit and 2025 V60 model?
#1
Hi!

I have a an all new Volvo V60 2025 and need to know the following:
  • If I got it right, for these new iCup models I need to retrieve CEM AND VGM PIN to unlock anything?  And both is possible to do with Orbit, right?
  • Is it possible also with 2025 models? If not, when will it be possible?
  • If I just retrieve these PIN's... will it be visible to any official Volvo dealer?

Please get back to me as soon as possible, thank you!

Hi all,

I am replying to this thread as I am also interested in updates for the use of Orbit with 2025 cars (V60 in my case)?

V60 MY2025 have been delivered since this summer (in Europe at least), I have checked on a regular basis to see if there was any update in this regard but it still says "coming soon" without much information...  Confused

If there is no fix for 2025, would you be able to advise which features from the existing Orbit version are still working on 2025 cars?
And if not, are you thinking about releasing a lite version of Orbit for those who will be using it with limited features?

Thank you for your updates  Wink

for now it is better not to try to change the configuration, the srs error lights up, then you need to reset configuration to oem and do srs reload :/

"coming soon" about 6 months ago, then full silence from the admins/devs/team is surely not a good sign   Sad

It looks like we have to look for other solutions for 2025 models...

It's fair point, I created the expectation by saying "soon" ;-). The trouble is, from the outside, you have no idea of the task and effort to solve the problem. For the 2025 SPA models, the issue is not a big one. It could seem like it's a simple task to update OrBit, that it must not be a priority.

That's not the case. What has happened, is Volvo has introduced an entirely new security access mechanism, after 27 years of the old one! It's a huge change. And a big task to get over. The effect on the 2025 SPA models support is small, but the solution is also key to any possible support of the new SEA and SPA2 models.

It's not on the "downhill" part yet, reverse engineering new bits can be a task of unknown time an effort to solve, which is why "soon" is probably the wrong term. It was a bigger challenge than even I had thought. Once the engineering part is done, then implementation will be something more manageable and to have a timeline... i.e. on to the coding, testing, release etc.

If someone else solves it sooner, fair play to them...if that someone is reading this drop me a line support-at-<spaycetech-dot-com>!

In 2024 and beyond, some module security access mechanisms on vehicles will undergo a complete change and temporarily become SA2. Breaking through is indeed a daunting task that requires a lot of work, and it is another type of computational logic.

Other manufacturers are also updating their security access mechanisms, ushering in a new era
