Hi!

Hi! Just picked up my 2024 xc40 plus trim with pixel option, Was surprised to see that it doesn't have the active bending lights like my xc60 had. is it more subtle now or did they remove it?

I enabled the pixels with orbit, as well as the auto high beam on all the time, but was shocked to see they don't bend like my 2021 did.

Don't much about XC40 and pixel lights but bending lights on S60, S90, XC60 and XC90 are all different headlight type and fit uses different controller from factory although the replacement part is the same for both.  
You have two settings for bending lights, 
106. HEADLIGHTS, TYPE >  What was your setting before pixel light. 
256. BENDING LIGHT > This will give you button on the IHU. 
If you get DTCs after enabling  256. BENDING LIGHT, either your headlight settings does not match or your headlights do not have the component to move the lights side to side
