Does Personal SIM config work in android automotive?

Does changing the config option to personal SIM enable data using said SIM? For users who have Android Automotive in countries where the data connectivity is not supported, inserting a SIM in the slot does absolutely nothing. Don’t have a cable yet to get PINs and test this out.

Has anyone had success with this?

I'm curious on this too. Different situation, US spec in Germany for the next 3 years and trying to get connectivity to work. Volvo just says we have to go without it while we're here.

If connectivity is available I would guess switching the sim and changing country in orbit might do the trick.

Tried messing around with 361 and 191 and no luck. I tried checking the "internet terms of service" page and it still took me to my original carrier (that does not work).
