AM Radio & Media Player
#1
Sad
Not sure how interested people will be with this option, however...

If you change line 454 AM RADIO FUNCTION from EXCLUDE AM FUNCTION to INCLUDE AM FUNCTION, then you get AM RADIO.

A new icon appears in the IHU to allow you to select. UK cars don't have this visible normally.

Similarly, line 222 is MEDIA PLAYER, mine as standard was WITHOUT MEDIA PLAYER, but changing it to WITH MEDIA PLAYER enabled a CD menu option in the IHU which was greyed out as I obviously don't have the hardware.

I therefore assume the third option here, WITH MEDIA PLAYER BD, refers to Blu-ray media drive units.

Unfortunately config option 454 does not work on newer AAOS systems. Or maybe it does, and I couldn't figure out how to get to the AM tuner. The built in Radio app only detects broadcasting FM stations, rather than allowing manual frequency tuning.

Huh, this is slightly interesting / relevant (my attempt above was on a BEV model): https://www.theverge.com/2023/5/17/23727...arkey-cruz

"Automakers are leaving out AM radio from their electric vehicles in particular, citing possible electromagnetic interference."
