Volvo c40 Can not be updated through OTA

Hi,
I imported a Volvo C40 from China to Costa Rica. Now I find out that I can not update the software through OTA via Wifi.
Is there a way to update the software with Orbit? I was reading that VIda is only for US Volvos in US territory.

Your VIN is Chinese market but your VOLVO connects to south America VOLVO servers. Orbit cannot do OTA updates. 
Your best option is get a VPN app on your phone and connect the car to your phone via wifi hotspot or Bluetooth internet sharing.  
Make sure to select China VPN server in the app.

Can the car update through WiFi though? I have imported a Volvo C40 from Japan my self and I am having the same issue.
I read that updating trough WiFi is not possible for the C40. Source
