Hello everyone!
I installed new bumpers on my Volvo XC90 2019y (inscription) fron R-Design car 2020y
But the parking sensors don't work.
I tried to replace the PAM. My number PAM 32243137, new 32281512
but, it didn't work
I was told that I need to replace the parking sensors because they were not the same in 2019 and 2020
Maybe someone knows how to fix this without replacing the parking sensors ?

You replaced WAM, not PAM. PAM is integrated in CEM, you can't replace PAM

I thought that changing the parameter 305. PARKING SENSOR GENERATION (gen 5/gen 6) could help solve my problem. I know that the Volvo XC90 had two “generations” of parking sensors 2015-2019 and 2020-2024. Accordingly, I thought that before 2019 there was gen 5, and after – gen 6. I expected that I would have a gen 5 setting, and by changing the setting to gen 6, I would solve my problem. But when I opened the orbit, I saw that in parameter 305 I have gen 6. Accordingly, I cannot increase the generation of parking sensors. Maybe someone can tell me where to look for a solution to this problem?

Hi, the same thing happened to me; I just had to find the correct sensors. I ended up using the same part number for all 12 sensors. I understand you didn't add any sensors, just replace them?

my story:
i bought a car without front and rear bumpers. My car is 2019 and I bought new bumpers from a 2020 car.
My car has park assistant in the menu - accordingly the sensors should work.
I know that there are at least two types of sensors before 2019 and from 2020. I don't know how they differ and how to make the car accept the new sensors.
I think first I need to know which (number) sensors should be installed from the factory. Can you tell me this information? my VIN YV4A22PL1K148844

There is no coding for the sensors after replacement. The sensors are connected to the CEM, check the guide I posted earlier.
Most likely you have wiring issues.
Each sensors has 3 wires. 2 of those wires are common. (ground, positive) the third middle one is the signal. Get a multi meter and check the wires if they short or have continuity end to end.
The pumber harness should have a connecter on the driver side behind the wheel arch. Rear bumper harness has a connector at the right side. From those connectors wires go to the CEM.
