Hi everyone,
I’ve got a bit of a situation on my MY2018 XC90
While doing a maintenance scanning with Orbit, a DTC error showing short to ground for my rear left door handle. Removed the rear right outer door handle to investigate a weak courtesy LED but while the handle was removed, I accidentally closed the door… and now it’s stuck shut. It won’t open from inside or outside.
I’ve removed the inner door panel as much as I could (from the inside of the car), and I can access the latch mechanism through a hole near the cable entry. I’ve inserted an inspection camera and a rod, but I’m not sure where exactly to push, pull, or press in order to release the latch and open the door.
I’m attaching two clear pictures of the latch (same model as mine). Can anyone help by marking or explaining which part of the mechanism I need to manipulate manually to unlock the door?
Any advice or visual guidance would be massively appreciated ?
