Retro Fitting the Drive Selector S/V/XC 60/90 2023
#1
I drive a XC60 T8 Long Range (2022 onwards model).
It is produced in 2022, but its the "early 2023" model range.
Since this range, Volvo stupidly decided to remove the drive selector.

Is it possoble to retrofit the drive selector that is used in the PRE 2022 models?
Is it just a replacement of the mid console panel? Or do you have to wire it?
Is there any coding needed to let it work?

Part numbers
XC60 & V60 T6/T5/D4: 31443818
XC90 T5: 31443829

You just swap it out, its the same connector as the "non-version"

And then you activate in Orbit.

Is this just for Sensus models or does this also apply to Android  based systems?

I would also like to know this.

Anyone know what year they got rid of the drive selector switch?

MY2021 was the last year with the drive mode wheel. AAOS does not support it at all.

I have a 2023 S90. I tried replacing the old selector, but the scroll wheel has no function in the ICUP system. Angry

I think you have 057 wrong. That is for the Drive Mode button beside the play/pause button in the center stack. I have a Sensus car and was able to retrofit drive modes by making a button and installing it in that stack. I think icup XC40’s have drive mode. Pop the blank button off and feel around in there with a small screwdriver. You’ll feel a button. You might be able to enable that feature on a google car.

Not correct.
The blank button behind the central control is for opening the glove box on s90 and XC90 series.
I have MY19 with drive mode switch my OEM settings but as far as I know, android based cars do not support it.
452 DRIVE MODE SWITCH  00- Undefined.
052 DRIVE MODE 02 With Drive Mode switch.
