RE: Retrofit Subwoofer on High Performance w/o Subwoofer - IMAY2023 - 02-18-2025 First of all, according to the picture. Dark green (most outside). (C pins on the diagram) 1) Yellow (neg) + VT/BN (pos) Front Door right. 2) GY/YE (neg) + BN (pos) Front Door left. You do not have center speaker output nor rear door speakers output on the AUD. On the light green (in the middle next to power) (D pins on the diagram) 1) SPEAKER RIGHT D PILLAR 2) SPEAKER Left D PILLAR Not sure if you have the speaker or they are just pre-wired. Pull out the cover and check if you have them. There are two speakers on the dashboard. The small one is for warning sounds. Most likely you do not have the second one. You are mixing up the settings. There are 4 variants in the config what you have is 01 Performance audio. Your current AUD support 02- High Performance audio but you will need to wire sub and the rear door speakers. Disconnect the dark green and measure the resistance. If you don't have a multimeter, just send audio from an external source to those pins to see what is actually driving the speakers, IHU or AUD. When you change the settings, you might hear better sound because IHU changes the pre-amp software. RE: Retrofit Subwoofer on High Performance w/o Subwoofer - Lukas - 02-18-2025 Guys, I am solving a similar problem on the xc40. I have powered the front speakers in the door through an amplifier. when I disconnect the connectors, no sound. and during the test on the back door, no sound at all 4 and 5 on connector C. just a faint hum. also the center in the dashboard, number 2 without sound. So thats how it should be yes. The problem is that the AMP is wired as shown on the picture. Speakers are already wired through the AMP even though the variant selected in orbit is 01 Performance Audio. Quote:That does not make sense at all. First of all, the correct setting is from 01 - Performance audio to 02 - High Performance audio. Because he has the entry level AUD without center output. Then he needs to rewire the speakers to be driven from the AUD and not from the IHU. So from the factory he had the speakers wired through the AMP. Doing your test, when disconnecting the green plug all speakers stopped working. Whats even funnier, i have dove deep into the connectors and wire diagram. As on the picture attached before you could see 4 pins in connector C and 4 pins in connector D. So normally he have the front doors connected to C1/C9 and C3/C11 and rear doors to D3/D13 and D4/D14 When he changes from 01 Performance to 02 High Perormance he have to rewire the front doors to C4/C12 and C5/C13 to get it working. 1. Its weird that for this level audio he does have the AMP under the passenger seat and it is wired 2. Why it is wired using C and D connector for doors only. He does not have the D-pillar speakers. So just FYI, there is also this kind of version that is mix of 01 and 02. Anyway, after adding the SUB and turning it on, it does not work in any audio level 01/02/03/04, i thikn we have tried every possible audio config available in the orbit and it still doesnt work. At the end of the day we have tried shutting off the car for a while as per someone comment hoping it would go into the deep off state. But still no hope. Today VIP servis will be connecting to the car and taking a look, trying to turn it on. Fingers crossed but we have hoped that Orbit can do that too. My last idea is that this is Volvo V60 2019 Momentum Diesel Manual. And the diagrams are for V90 so its possible that for the V60 there was one more configuration that is different than in v90. (he have tried with different AMP from another vehicle [V90] and everything worked the same way) RE: Retrofit Subwoofer on High Performance w/o Subwoofer - hanczi69 - 02-18-2025 Little update: VIP service Radom tried turning it on. Who would have thought, same thing happened while turning it on with orbit. After some back and forward with the tech guy. They said that we should plug all speakers as in the 02 High premium and everything should be working. So the next step is to plug everything and check again. Only suprising thing is that the SUB wouldnt be working withouth 2 additional speakers which is mindblowing. Will get back with the update once its all installed. They are for the rear pillar (v60/90) or back shelf on the S60/90 or top back (xc60/90). They only should work with High performance plus. Audio wiring is the same in general the only difference is the rear doors 90 series having two channels compared to 60 series and this difference is only with HK and B&W AUDs. The only logical explanation here is that you have a different software and channel config in your AUD or AUD checks all the speakers and then activates the SUB. If you have determined that rear doors are connected D3/D13 and D4/D14, Pull them out and move them to C4/C12 and C5/C13 Then connect the SUB to C7/C15 Then change the config to 02 - High Performance Audio and Enable the SUB. After configuration is done. From the ECU tools tab, reset the IHU and AUD once again. Under the audio settings, you should have SUB level increase it. If still does not work, definitely your AUD does not have the correct software in it. |
