RE: Enabling Pilot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control - IMAY2023 - 02-10-2025 Quote:Thanks! Hmm, and when you say, "The software itself on VIDA was $550 USD," was that the same IntelliSafe Assist package, or was it something different? You are welcome. After the hydraulic unit is replaced, VIDA will show two different software reloads under the Hardware change TAB. One if them is BCM and the other one is the intelli safe assists. You should only order and install the intelli safe assists, that includes all the required software. Before doing that make sure an external power is connected to the car and voltage shows above 13 volts. Otherwise VIDA will not install the software and most importantly, "Once you retrieved, do not cancel the installation," otherwise you will need to reorder the same software again and ask for a refund for the previous one. Let's say, you clicked on retrieve and then clicked on install after VIDA downloads the software. VIDA gave you error message "Connect external power". Even if you do not have one around, Leave the VIDA as is. Make sure laptop is connected to power until you found one. If you cancel the installation at that time or before hitting the install button, that's it. You will need to re order. Make sure the external power supply is not low on battery (if you are using a portable one because it takes a while to install. Unfortunately, I live in the EU, and it's impossible to use VIDA on our own (I tried purchasing it via VPN, but my card was denied). However, I'll try to convince the dealership not to change the hydraulic unit and instead install the software. Also, it doesn't make sense that the software for the XC60 costs $2,500, while for the S60, it's only $500, I wonder why there is such a difference. RE: Enabling Pilot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control - IMAY2023 - 02-11-2025 No, It does. the prices you get in the VIDA is the manufacturer suggested retail prices and that's what they charge. But the service dealers add their profit on the top of it in addition they charge you software installation labour hours. I am not trying to justify the $2500, this is just how those scumbags operate. VIDA will not install the software if your hydraulic unit is needed to be replaced. But something does not fit, if your car is "2020 XC60 T8" you should not need to replace your unit. Apparently, it's actually the wrong module ![]() "238 TOP DAMPING, BRAKES >> 01 Friction brake actuator without top damping" RE: Enabling Pilot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control - IMAY2023 - 02-19-2025 Well, that's indeed strange. According to VOLVO accessory information, T8 and mild hybrids B series should not need to replace the unit. In any case there are many folks here who has enabled the ACC and PA without changing the 238 TOP DAMPING, BRAKES or replacing the unit. You can also check your part number and verify its variant to part catalog. I haven't had much time to test it over longer distances yet, but everything seems fine. Yeah, it would be nice to actually see what part number I have, but I imagine it's not that easy to check, as I need to physically disassemble the part, right? RE: Enabling Pilot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control - IMAY2023 - 02-19-2025 You don't need to disassemble the part but yes, you will need to remove the plastic cover to see it. It's not hard to remove it, just couple of clips. However, it would still depend on where the manufacturer put the sticker. Mine was at the top, easy to see. The other way around, is to check on VIDA. You can call your local service and ask them what part number you need for your VIN. Then check online what is the variant code for the part number service gave you. Then you can compare it to the one in the accessory webpage. RE: Enabling Pilot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control - roundyuk - 03-15-2025 So has anyone had issues re-coding after the 3.4.4 update on the PS2? I didn't switch mine back to the OEM profile so as expected after the flash she lit up like a Christmas tree. So I re-applied the ACC profile, everything went OK but the IHU had no option for adaptive. So I reset the IHU one more time and it seemed to show up. So for good measure I returned to OEM, which then seemed to leave behind the ACC option in the IHU, and then applied to ACC profile. This time again no ACC showing in IHU until one more reset of it. All the icons show now, dash console too, but if I try to engage ACC it just shows unavailable. Switch to normal cruise it works fine. Any ideas? RE: Enabling Pilot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control - roundyuk - 03-15-2025 Update...so it started working, weird!! Was almost like it needed a cycle or two...? |
