Yes, some dealer ask too much for their services. (05-13-2023, 09:54 PM)BeachBoy Wrote: The rear of the camera is 6 pins if I remember correctly. Standard rear parking camera - RPC, RVC whatever called is with 4 pins, rear backup surround camera is with 6 pins in 2 rows, this one standard rear parking camera is typical 4 pins for LVDS cables. P.S. Did anyone of you activate retrofited rear parking camera with Orbit app, in way changing configuration and then appears camera with graphical view , yellow lines, etc ? RE: fitting backup camera - iamyxy - 05-22-2023 Friends, if you need 360 cameras, modules, wiring harnesses, or accessories and wiring harnesses for keyless entry function, seat ventilation and heating modules and wiring harnesses, etc. You can contact me by email: 359721717@qq.com. Please specify the VIN and the required accessories. RE: fitting backup camera - marinalin85 - 05-22-2023 Guys, quick question about rear camera. How waterproof is it? It should be somewhat because of all that water in the back but still? I have an idea to install a universal washer nozzle that would be low profile enough to not be seen by the camera but close enough so it will splash it. Mind you, mine is a V60 so the water connection is already there. Just need to Y split hose connection which I already found on Amazon and AliExpress Also it might run slower for the back window as well but I dont worry about that RE: fitting backup camera - marinalin85 - 05-27-2023 Update: installed the camera today. I went with installing it as per instruction in the end. Only issue was removing the rear bench. That was needed to be removed so you can remove another trim but the cable can go bellow the trim without removing it. Took me 4hrs in the sun ? Everything works great. Activate for 154 the option 09, Camera Gen 2 always in reverse and then you'll have the camera icon and all its settings RE: fitting backup camera - mrs - 06-03-2023 (05-14-2023, 04:33 PM)marinalin85 Wrote: Looks like I got the wrong camera ffs Yes, you ordered wrong camera, 4 pins is standard rear parking camera. Not sure about those from aliex quality, i ordered from ebay, original Volvo rear camera from XC40, used one, as prefere original used in good state, than some chinese clones... If it's Volvo OEM RVC , then 100% waterproof, used it on previous Volvo car 1.5 year, all seasons, never any problem, about copies, clones can say same, as had no experiene... No problem about water, it's well packed in housing, so no problems, just need time to time when dirty clean it . Post that link from amazon, aliex for washer, to see what's that exactly ....
