RE: Can s90 seats be fitted to S60 - Helpful - 04-28-2025 Good afternoon. My car is a 2023 XC60 Core. Simple but fully electric seats with heating and memory on the driver's seat. (without a leg extension). I want to install seats with all the options. I found a set of seats from a car from England (right-hand drive). Can I install them in my car? What to do with the passenger presence sensor that will be on the driver's side? Is it possible to move this sensor? The control units on both "new" seats from England are the same 31652047. My car is also from the USA. Do I understand correctly that I will still need to rearrange the airbags from my native seats to the donor seats? If You just read carefully this thread, I think all the needed information is here :-) As You have heating and memory on Your old seats, wiring should be there pretty much ready. I guess You are missing only powering the seat comfort module, that's pin 15 on the big connector. I did successfully install right-hand drive seats to left-hand drive car. You can move the passenger occupancy sensor, not hard at all, but You need to wire it to pin 11 on that big connector under the seat, take the pin from the other seat. The passenger seat controller identifies itself with the pin 21 grounded at the seat control module, so You need add extra wire to Your new passenger seat. Take the pin from the connector of new driver's seat. It's good to get Yourself little bit familiar with the wiring diagrams, these are pages called 10_Driver_Seat_LHD and 10_Passenger_Seat_LHD. Pages 159 and 164, in my copy of the wiring diagram. You can check what pins and wires need to be there. Good luck! My car is a 2023 XC60, with the iCup system from the US market. Front seats with 10 adjustments, heating and lumbar support in 1 direction. Plus the driver's seat has memory. Both seats have the same control units (31419928). New seats from the UK market (right-hand drive), maximum (leg support, massage, ventilation, heating, memory and most likely lateral support). The new seats have the same control units (31652047). What I saw from the differences. 1. The US seats have position sensors that are located on the runners. In the GB, they are not there at all. Is this a problem? Or are the position sensors in the motors in the GB seats? 2. Passenger presence sensor. In the US seats it is completely different, it is a gel cushion from which a tube goes to the block with wires. But in the GB seats it is a mechanical contact (as in all European ones). Is this a problem, will an American car understand, the passenger position sensor from the GB? I also need help with the pins. With pin 15 everything is clear, it needs to be added. The original driver and passenger seat (USA) has pin 13 and 14. Do I understand correctly that this is the seat position sensor? The new seats (GB) do not have these pins. Will this be a problem? There are still differences with the passenger ones. The original passenger seat (USA) has pin 31 and does not have pin 11. The new British passenger seat does not have pin 31 and has pin 11. How could I find that in the British seat (passenger) pin 11 controls the passenger presence sensor. What does pin 31 control in the American passenger seat? [img] ![]() RE: Can s90 seats be fitted to S60 - IMAY2023 - 05-13-2025 1. The US seats have position sensors that are located on the runners. In the GB, they are not there at all. Is this a problem? Or are the position sensors in the motors in the GB seats? Those are not position sensors, they are track sensors which are used by the SRS system. There is a config item for it "127 SEAT TRACK SENSORS" You must take them out from the original seats and put them to the replacement seat because your SRS software is using them. If you disable the config, you will get AirBag warning on the DIM. 2. Passenger presence sensor. In the US seats it is completely different, it is a gel cushion from which a tube goes to the block with wires. But in the GB seats it is a mechanical contact (as in all European ones). Is this a problem, will an American car understand, the passenger position sensor from the GB? Check this settings " 131 OCCUPANT WEIGHT SENSOR" You might need to change it from OWS to 03. Worse case, move it if you can. RE: Can s90 seats be fitted to S60 - Helpful - 05-14-2025 Can anyone tell me what pin 31 is for on the driver's seat of the British version? And it (pin 31) is not on the passenger seat of the GB version. The photo is above in the message. What difficulties can I face if I start to move the wiring from the right driver's seat (GB) to the left seat to make the left seat the driver's seat. (all about the GB version). RE: Can s90 seats be fitted to S60 - IMAY2023 - 05-14-2025 The 94/505 (US Market Driver Seat harness connector). The 94/506 (US Market Passenger Seat harness connector). 94/506:31 PIN is the 4/240 OCCUPANT WEIGHT SENSOR OWS It's the LIN communication goes to 4/176.1 SUPPLEMENTARY RESTRAINT SYSTEM SRS 94/505:31 PIN is the 4/169 POWER SEAT MODULE DRIVER PSMD. It's the LIN communication goes to 4/183 SEAT FOLD MODULE 3:rd ROW SFM3 94/505:11 PIN > Does not exist on US cars. 94/506:11 PIN 7/255 SEAT BELT REMINDER MAT it's power goes to 4/176 SUPPLEMENTARY RESTRAINT SYSTEM SRS on PIN F6 (This might not exist on US market) RE: Can s90 seats be fitted to S60 - Helpful - 05-15-2025 (05-14-2025, 06:40 PM)IMAY2023 Wrote: The 94/505 (US Market Driver Seat harness connector). Thanks for your help!!! In the USA: I also determined that 94/506:17 is also responsible for OCCUPANT WEIGHT SENSOR OWS. As I understand 94/506:17 + 94/506:31 is one OCCUPANT WEIGHT SENSOR OWS. Am I right, for this sensor I can try to switch in the settings "131 OCCUPANT WEIGHT SENSOR" from "with OWS" to the 3rd position. And if I'm lucky, the car can accept the European system and accept information from 94/506:11 (a regular contact sensor). But this is not certain. ))) If not, then it is easier to look for US wiring with a gel sensor (cushion). Can someone tell me if the passenger seat cushions for the European market (with a contact passenger presence sensor) and the US market (with a gel passenger presence cushion) are the same? I can't find this information. Some people say that the American seat cushion has a recess for the gel cushion (i.e. the cushion is thinner). RE: Can s90 seats be fitted to S60 - IMAY2023 - 05-15-2025 94/506:17 is the power of the OWS sensor goes to the CEM shared with other sensors RE: Can s90 seats be fitted to S60 - kurort1kuban - 05-28-2025 (05-04-2024, 11:47 AM)Pliind Wrote:(05-04-2024, 11:42 AM)Oscarv90raggarn Wrote: Hey everyone.
