Any chance we will be able to enable Apple CarPlay Ultra at some point?
Quite a few manufacturers including Volvo are opting out of supporting it apparently.

I’d say chances are very unlikely. While I don’t have a lot of faith in Volvos software engineering right now, I’d be even more concerned if Apple tried to run CarPlay ultra on top of it. My CarPlay experience now is buggy and problematic as-is. I definitely don’t want to add any more complexity until Volvo can figure out how to not break existing things (like braking).
