Calibrating the Occupant Weight Sensor (OWS) SPA II - Helpful - 07-16-2025

Auto Volvo XC60 SPA ICup (AAOS).

Now I have a message that the passenger is always present in the seat.  I converted the European passenger seat and switched the passenger presence sensor from European to US, to a gel cushion.  I've already checked and it seems that the leather seat cushion cover (32357793) and the seat cushion foam (31498851) all match the American market. I've already completely disconnected the leather cover to relieve pressure on the sensor, but it didn't help. Only when I lift the seat cushion a little does the message about the passenger presence disappear, so the sensor is working. I kept installing the sensor from my old seats and the sensor still signals about the passenger. I disconnected the battery and waited, it didn't help either.

In the ECU Tools section in the SRS subsection there is a position #205D - occupant weight sensor (ows) calibration response#, its diagnosed but how do I run this calibration? Now when diagnosing (5B4C) there are no errors on the sensor but it shows that the sensor has "small weight".

How can I calibrate the occupant weight sensor (OWS)? Is such a calibration operation even possible?
